Vision
Identifying and facilitating programs that are available to people diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Mission
We are dedicated to better understanding the ambitions of persons with autism and assisting them in realizing their full potential to live happy, productive, and fulfilling lives.
We are dedicated to facilitating educational programs, training programs, recreational programs, and self-advocacy programs especially to the rural areas where the condition is not understood.
Promoting the value, acceptance, and inclusion of persons with ASD by raising awareness and education.
Goals
- Provide high-quality information, intervention, education and support to families of diverse culture and economic standing
- Provide programs based on best practices and development
- Film a documentary highlighting the challenges and triumphs of autism as an educational tool for families
- Establish funding required to sustain the mission and program goals through grants, donations, and events
Documentary
In the documentary, we aim to explain what Autism is, from a person with autism's perspective and what being on the spectrum means, in hopes that those who have friends or family members with autism, can feel a sense of community. Many families feel isolated because they are stigmatized, children are bullied and abused, none of it is acceptable, especially for their sense of well-being. Stigmatization is inhumane. Many children with autism in Africa are failing to gain all that they should because the population is unequipped to deal with the disorder, they don’t even know what it is, or that it exists.
